Software Updates

Recommended Posts

Hi

Im setting up SysCtr 2012 and i have an issue

I have it deploying applications and OSD etc but cannot get Software updates to work

I have WSUS working fine, and SysCtr sees all the available updates

But when I try to build an update group or Deployment package I have trouble.

The system requires a 'Download From' location. I cannot use Internet as we are behind firewalls, I snyc the content from an upstream server, as can be seen above this allows the updates to be seen, but I cannot seem to download them?

Any help please

You're probably synchronizing the metadata from an upstream server, but that would still require you to download the content of those updates (either from the internet or a network share). Do keep in mind that it uses the internet connection of the machine that you;re running the console from.

Peter

Yes I'm Syncing from upstream server in DMZ, The SyCtr server does not have access to MS servers as these are blocked on corporate firewalls.

The Upstream server is just a 2008R2 running WSUS, will this have a generic folder to download from?
