KeithDib Posted August 7, 2014 Report post Posted August 7, 2014 My SysCtr 2012 system is not yet live, after migrating the 2007 information in I'm still doing some testing. I've installed a few clients manually and its mostly working fine, Packages deploy and I can rebuild machines etc I have not yet configured the Client to Automatically deply, and when I select a collection and select Install Client this does not work. I believe this should work even though global client deployment is not turned on? thanks
KeithDib Posted August 7, 2014 Report post Posted August 7, 2014 I have installed a Fallback Point which shows no errors in the Client Status monitoring
Peter van der Woude Posted August 7, 2014 Report post Posted August 7, 2014 Start with checking the ccm.log on the site server to see if the push action was succesfull. If it was succesfull check the ccmsetup folder on the client.
Jorgen Nilsson Posted August 8, 2014 Report post Posted August 8, 2014 Hi, Client firewall and permissions could be the reason, I always use a startup script in a GPO instead and then filter that Startup script gpo to a security group so I still can control which clients get the new client. Jason has written a great startup script here: http://blog.configmgrftw.com/configmgr-client-startup-script/ Regards,Jörgen
Benoit Lecours Posted August 12, 2014 Report post Posted August 12, 2014 Check if all requirements are met : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg682042.aspx There's various reason why client push will fail. As Peter mention, start by checking the logs on the clients.
giftedwon Posted August 14, 2014 Report post Posted August 14, 2014 is your Client install account setup and has Domain admin rights? best thing to do is to check ccm.log on your server. Clients must have the Admin$ and C$ share active.
KeithDib Posted August 14, 2014 Report post Posted August 14, 2014 Fixed this now Not sure why but created a new Admin account for the client deployments. Not sure why the old one didnt work as out SCCM 2007 site is still using it fine!
