firstcom Posted August 14, 2014 Report post Posted August 14, 2014 Hi all, I'm in the process of upgrading Adobe Reader utilizing SCCM 2012R2 with SCUP. On most PCs, we have version 11.0.0 and I'll be using the SCUP-imported software update to upgrade those to 11.0.7. However, other PCs have 11.0.04, 11.0.02, and other various versions. The Adobe update for 11.0.7 that was imported from SCUP seem to be failing on these. Is there an easy way to upgrade PCs with versions > 11.0.0 without having to uninstall and reinstall Reader? Can anyone advise?

Jorgen Nilsson Posted August 15, 2014 Report post Posted August 15, 2014 Hi, I normally use PSappDeployment toolkit instead, uninstall all older versions with uninstall feature which can uninstall wildcard, simply type adobe reader and it will uninstall any version of 11. and then install the latest version it is really simple. Adobe reader is the example in the documentation.. https://psappdeploytoolkit.codeplex.com/ It can check if Adobe reader is running e.t.c as well and much much more.. Cool Stuff! /Jörgen
dozi Posted August 19, 2014 Report post Posted August 19, 2014 Hi, we got a collection for each version of Adobe Reader XI, because the updates are not incremental, except some major releases, as far as i know. The clients will automatically move to the next collection and so on. You can see it on the attached image.
