SCCM 2012 R2 CU3 Update during OSD

Could you please tell me whats the best way to upgrade the config manager client with the CU3 update during the OSD? I followed this guide but it didn't work. the task sequence fails at the "Apply Image " step.

You don't update Config Manager until after the Image is applied so that need to be working first.
I assume you already have a task sequence setup for OSD.

Just ignore the first half of that guide and start where he copies the update then applies in the config manager step.

I have the OSD task sequence setup and it's working ok. but coffin manager client version is still old , i want the config manager client updated to the CU3 version during the "setup config manager client " step in the task sequence.

You can use the PATCH parameter to update the client during the task sequence.

If the machine account has access to that share location, then yes. Otherwise make sure the patch is part of your client package and refer to the local location.
