clausjuhl_p Posted November 14, 2014 Report post Posted November 14, 2014 Hi All I want have a TS (Task Sequence)(is running when the user is logged onto the system, not in OSD(OS Deployment)) with several steps, one if them being a .hta file that warns the user that a change in software is comming and they need to close down Outlook. My problem is that the TS gets stuck when it reaches the .hta file step, just hangs untill I shut it down by force (kill the process). My setup: "Run Command Line" Command Line: "Name of file" Tick in Package: "Package containing the file" In Otions the default Success codes are set til 0 3010 (have no idea on what this is used for?) / Claus
anyweb Posted November 14, 2014 Report post Posted November 14, 2014 it's not hanging it's actually running the HTA as a system process so you don't see it, the user doesn't see it. If you open task manager and look at the processes do you see MSHTA.exe running ? kill it and the task sequence will continue, use serviceUI.exe instead to display the hta
clausjuhl_p Posted November 17, 2014 Report post Posted November 17, 2014 I'll have a look tomorrow for that I just don't get it,the same type of hta is running fine in the osd, what's the difference? What do you mean by using serviceUI,how does that work?

Namqul Posted September 18 Report post Posted September 18 Hi Anyweb, I've managed to create and get the HTA to open in OS, however my issue is that is in the background and the user don't/won't see it unless they close all their open windows to show the HTA. Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated.
