Vista Service Pack I&II Installation with SCCM

Question

hi, i have a task to deploy Vista Service PackI&II to my vista clients. i have created the package for it as usual like i do for other software deployments & i become unsuccessful.I found the anyweb post & walked through the step by step but still no luck.

 

my vista clients receives the advertisement & in task manager i can see the spintall & KB936330 is running.when i manually tried to install the SP is works fine & there are two folders created in C but with SCCM it creates one and all the processes stuck at some point and after run time complete it fails with the error run time exceeded. i have set the run time 180 mints. plz help.

Hm i just saw this post, please keep all the facts in one post in the future. Makes it much easier.

If the install works manually on the machine that makes me think of the SCCM Client cache size, make sure you have enough space to download the servicepack or specify your adv to run directly from the Distrubution point.
