commissar117 Posted November 26, 2014 Report post Posted November 26, 2014 Hey, Lately I started experiencing a slow download speed in OSD. I managed to fix the slowness for the wim download with KB2905002 hotfix, but downloading drivers is still very slow. Any Ideas or suggestions ?? anyweb Posted November 26, 2014 Report post Posted November 26, 2014 any hints to the issue in your smsts.log? has it always been slow ? how big are the packages ?
commissar117 Posted December 1, 2014 Report post Posted December 1, 2014 No it was quick before. I don't recall doing any changes except stopping the machine from joining the domain. The size is a normal driver size package between 500 and 800 MB and it takes about 45-1 hr to download. The smsts.log shows no error and the CAS.log shows that its downloading from the local DP. wilbywilson Posted December 3, 2014 Report post Posted December 3, 2014 In your task sequence, are you letting the machine search through all of your driver packages? Are are you adding a explicit query for each machine model, to specifically only search inside that model's driver package? Apexes Posted December 4, 2014 Report post Posted December 4, 2014 I've seen similar before, which was rectified by allowing the option on the DP for clients to connect anonymously. shot in the dark but worth a go...
commissar117 Posted December 4, 2014 Report post Posted December 4, 2014 No I have wmi query rules for each model. The problem is not in searching its in downloading. Do you mean allow anonymous in IIS??
