why Deleted Software appear in the Add/Remove software Report !!! nad Patch file not running by sccm 2007

Question

Dear All

 

I am trying to run reports to view X software in Add/Remove Program, the result was that some deleted software appear in the reports and same from Resource Explorer can I know why ?? :( also I tried to push patch file "MsiExec.exe /X{XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX} REBOOT=RealySuppress /qb-!" to uninstall X Software from machines, all machines received the patch but unfortunately didn’t remove it :angry: , I need your advice about these issue please.

Reports and Resource Explorer booth get their data from the same place (SMS/SCCM db).

To update the database SMS/SCCM has diffrent "jobs" like hardware inventory, software inventory etc.

 

So before you can get the correct data in your reports you need to wait for the hardware cycle to complete on all involved computers (add/remove programs is part of the hardware inventory).

 

This is where you customize your hardware inventory schedule :)

Just to clarify it for myself - If Hardware inventory is set to run once every 7 days, that means my Java uninstallations in the beginning of this week don't count in the software reports yet? Unless I reduce the HW Inventory cycle for some smaller amount, eg. every 1 hour?
