craney Posted December 22, 2014 Report post Posted December 22, 2014 Hi there I followed the below guide from this forum to create my own wim file as i had a few extra files and folders i wanted to add to the base image. Its really straight forward and does the trick perfectly. Hope it helps http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/5070-how-can-i-capture-an-image-using-capture-media-in-configmgr-2012/
anyweb Posted December 22, 2014 Report post Posted December 22, 2014 yes the above guide does help with capturing images but does involve manual steps, in practise it's best to automate things as much as possible by using a fully customized build and capture task sequence
gangaskan Posted December 22, 2014 Report post Posted December 22, 2014 awesome, thanks! i'll take a look at that when i can. there are some current machines i wanted to capture because they're already done. more importantly certian specialized machines. i'm transitioning over from FOG so i'm learning
