Nunzi0 Posted January 22, 2015 Report post Posted January 22, 2015 I'm looking for a place where i can download Microsoft's best practices for compliance on their systems. Like something for Server 2012, or Exchange, Windows domain controllers, etc. Does anyone know of any?
Jorgen Nilsson Posted January 22, 2015 Report post Posted January 22, 2015 Hi, There was asite called Marektplace before but cannot find it anymore, I would Bing or Google and search for the Configuration packs you are looking for, here are some examples: Configuration Pack for UEV http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35595 For Configuration Manager itself http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30710&WT.mc_id=rss_alldownloads_all You can also use the Security Compliance manager which can generate DCM Baselines for Windows Server, Windows Client, Internet Explorer and more.. http://blogs.technet.com/b/secguide/archive/2013/02/05/secure-your-environment-with-scm-3-0.aspx Regards,Jörgen
EdwinB Posted January 30, 2015 Report post Posted January 30, 2015 Using "Security Compliance manager" version 3.0.66.0 I found out that not all "Policies"\Baselines are not up to date.In "Security Compliance manager" I triggered - File - Check for Updates. Downloaded and installed all possible Baseline Packages E.g. Missing the 4 policy settings in Office 2013 for Office 365 (April 2014) http://blogs.technet.com/b/odsupport/archive/2014/04/28/new-group-policies-introduced-with-the-april-2014-update-of-office-2013-click-to-run.aspx I would like to use the export function SCCM DCM 2007(.cab) to export to .Cab and to import to SCCM 2012 in "Configuration Items" Anyone any idea how to update this Baselines? [Edit] I could use manual editting SCCM 2012 "Configuration Items" using the following registry keys: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\office\15.0\common\officeupdate]"updatepath"="""hideupdatenotifications"="updatedeadline"="""updatetargetversion"="" Regards Edwin
