CJR Posted February 17, 2015 Report post Posted February 17, 2015 Hello Been following the Noobs for a long while. Here is the situation. Sccm 2012 R2: All was well then on my adm account only (so far) when i go to distribute an app or anything else the distribution point does not show when you select drop down Add Distribution Point. Its still there I can see the content, check status etc etc, but just can not display it in content wiz. Any Ideas.... No hair left to pull out Cheers Chris R
CJR Posted February 17, 2015 Report post Posted February 17, 2015 OK.. Update. New content appears so looks like DB is goosed. Unless any one has a better idea, ??
Ath3na Posted February 17, 2015 Report post Posted February 17, 2015 There might not be an issue. When you go to distribute content it will only show you distribution points that do not already have the software. Check the content tab of the distribution point properties. From here you can see what is cached and can remove applications. If you remove an application from the DP then go back to the wizard it will allow you to distribute to that server again. It doesn't sound like you have an issue.
DaveCharlesworth Posted February 17, 2015 Report post Posted February 17, 2015 You can also use the ContentLibraryExplorer tool (from ConfigMgr 2012 R2 Toolkit - http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=36213) to view if the content is in the DPs Content Library. It is most likely already on the DP as Ath3na has just mentioned. - the Console will only show DPs available that do not already have the content. CJR Posted February 18, 2015 Report post Posted February 18, 2015 Thanks for the replies. I'll double check, the reason for the DB comments was the cluster went south over the weekend and the High Availability failed across centres. Also had BCP errors on pxe boot so pxe & WDS getting redone this morning. Cheers Chris R
CJR Posted February 18, 2015 Report post Posted February 18, 2015 Final update. This was a system I took over supplied by a 3rd party. The boot errors after re-doing pxe & wds were due to : DP set as https only and set to self cert, 2012 R2 would not support pxe in this enviro importing the pki key into the DP and changing the DP to use it fixed the boot problems.
