behemyth Posted March 18, 2015 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 Are you installing SCCM from scratch, or just making a new server a new DP? Does the CM server have admin access to this machine? If not it wont be able to create the directories it needs.
Drakmah Posted March 23, 2015 Report post Posted March 23, 2015 I'm installing SCCM from scratch including the DP. So on the CM server the DP is not created.
Drakmah Posted April 24, 2015 Report post Posted April 24, 2015 Well, thanks to Microsoft support my issue is resolved. For your information here is the solution: I used an SQL installation where I used a service account for the SQL services. It seems that those services should run under the local system account. :-\ So I completely reinstalled the server. And during the SQL installation I attached the local system account to the services. After this when I installed SCCM the DP was created! Thanks all for your support. I'm very glad this is resolved!!
anyweb Posted April 24, 2015 Report post Posted April 24, 2015 im glad it's resolved and thanks for posting your solution it may help others. The sql service account is checked for in the pre-reqs and you should see this message if it is incorrect The logon account for the SQL Server service cannot be a local user account, NT SERVICE\ or LOCAL SERVICE. You must configure the SQL Server service to use a valid domain account, NETWORK SERVICE, or LOCAL SYSTEM.
