SCCM 2012 SP1 in the lab

I'm in the process of testing my upgrade procedure for SCCM to go from SCCM 2012 SP1 to SCCM 2012 R2, and latest CU.

 

I'm having a little problem. I'm unable to push the sccm client successfully.

From this log entry, and a bit of Google-fu, I looked at my site status, and I see that my MP is in a Critical Status. here's the errors I'm seeing there:

From that, I did some more Google-fu, and tried uninstalling/reinstalling the MP role, then uninstalling MP role, uninstalling IIS, restart, install IIS, restart, install MP. All of that has not helped.

Anything else I can try would be greatly appreciated.

I would say that the message is pretty clear Site Component Manager failed to install this component, because the Microsoft Installer File for this component (MP.msi) could not install. Refer to the MPSetup.log, the MPMSI.log. Please do as suggested and look in the specific log files to see why the management point is not installing.

Yes, I've done that, which helped to lead me to try to uninstall/reinstall.

 

Here's the errors in mpsetup.log:

The mpmsi.log is a bit more "cloudy", as it doesn't have timestamps, etc., but here's the last two lines that show up as errors:

So, I ran the uninstall/change, from Add/Remove programs, then chose Reset site. Seems to have jarred loose whatever was hanging up, and the MP is working now, and clients are installing. Now, I just have to address the other errors that came about from uninstalling/reinstalling roles this morning.
