Cient installation - CCM Notification Disabled on Windows 2003

Recommended Posts

Hello Noob Gurus

I love this place awesome job guys.

I am having a super weird issue. I have SCCM 2012 R2 setup on a primary domain for which everything works fine then i have a second domain for which I'm having issues. Weird thing is I'm having issues with client installation on Windows Server 2003. Client deploys and installs but after installation i have Missing Actions Tabs and CCM Notification Disabled under components. This works fine for Windows 2008 on the troubled secondary domain and it works fine on the primary domain for all OS, so i just don't get it.

In the LocationServices.log I get lines like "Unable to retrieve AD site membership" and Name: "SITEServer.domain.com' HTTPS: 'N' ForestTrust: 'N". Forest for the sites are External Two-Way non-transitive. Installation proceeds and completes but items are missing under action tabs are CCM Notification disabled.

Pulling my hair out on this one. Any Ideas guys? Please help.....:unsure::unsure::unsure:

I finally got this figured out. I double checked the Sites and services for both domains and the subnet the computers that have the issues are on were not in the secondary domain. I added the subnet to the secondary and pushed the client, after that the clients were able to find the Site so i was no longer getting the error "Unable to retrieve AD Site Membership.

Then i realized the computers in the second domain for Windows 2003 computers are showing up in Devices as Unapproved. I had to right click and select Approve and that's what fixed my issue. Awesome....... :D:D:D:D:P:P:P:P
