ConstantlyConfiguring Posted May 21, 2015 Report post Posted May 21, 2015 Hi Guys, I have recently started having an issue with SCCM 2012. Especially around PXE boots. This is usually cleared by removing the PXE Boot role from the Distribution Point and adding it back again after a few minutes but the issue I stumbled upon today has got me scratching my head. I have 2 laptops to build and when I try and PXE Boot, I get a PXE-E51: No DHCP or proxyDHCP offers were received on one and PXE-E7B - Missing MTFTP Server IP Address error on the other. Any ideas on what's going on?
simulacra75 Posted May 22, 2015 Report post Posted May 22, 2015 Is PXE boot enabled in the BIOS settings of these machines? To be honest, removing and re-adding the PXE boot role seems a little extreme when troubleshooting these issues. Is there anything in the SMSPXE.log file on the DP? Apexes Posted May 26, 2015 Report post Posted May 26, 2015 Do you have options 66 & 67 setup on your DHCP server?
asapHO Posted May 26, 2015 Report post Posted May 26, 2015 Hi, I had the same problem - just set the mentioned Options above.. Option 66 = YOURSERVERNAME (SCCM PXE DP) Option 67 = SMSBoot\x86\wdsnbp.com Hope these informations are correct... To "simplify" things I tend to rename the pxeboot.com file to pxeboot.f12 and then rename pxeboot.n12 to pxeboot.com in your \\YOURSERVERNAME\Reminst\Boot\x86 directory best regards...
