anderson.poa Posted June 24, 2015 Report post Posted June 24, 2015 Hello, good afternoon. When we try a network boot (PXE), we get an IP address, but the pxe image do not load. A few weeks ago was working fine. The changes in our environment where: We add a second DP and the SCCM server was changed from a network to another network (both without filter) and after this migration, trying to fix it, we remove the second DP we added before. The options 66 and 67 its ok in DHCP (SMSBoot\x64\wdsnbp.com) We already removed the WDS role and add again. At the SMSPXE.log, we have no clue. In which log we can search some information about it? Thanks in advance
anyweb Posted June 25, 2015 Report post Posted June 25, 2015 it's recommended to use ip helpers instead of dhcp options, however, you say your network changed, what changed about it and is everything being routed correctly between one network and the next ? anderson.poa Posted June 25, 2015 Report post Posted June 25, 2015 Hello anyweb, thank you for the answer. Our network engineering team said have no filter between the networks. Are there some log file where we can check in which step of the process the failure occur? The DHCP is giving an IP to the notebook, but We are not sure if the request is being send from DHCP server to the SCCM server, and if is, if SCCM is trying to return the boot file. anyweb Posted June 25, 2015 Report post Posted June 25, 2015 check the smspxe.log file on the server hosting the PXE role, that log file should reveal if the client computer is reaching it or not, search for the mac address. Garrett804 Posted June 25, 2015 Report post Posted June 25, 2015 You'll find the SMSPXE.log under the SMS_CCM\Logs folder. Also for option 67 make sure you include the \ for the \smsboot\x64\wdsnbp.com Option 66 if you have DNS issues should be the servers IP for the DP that is going to do OSD.
