krumble99 Posted June 30, 2015 Report post Posted June 30, 2015 Morning, I am using SCCM 2007 to deploy an third party application to desktop machines that does no logging of it's own, or at least trying to. The application requires 3 steps, step 1 is to copy the files to the local machine, step 2 is to install the prerequisites and reboot the machine, step three is to install the application. If I do these 3 packages manually, the task completes without a problem, but when I try to perform them in a task sequence step 3 just hangs and eventually times out without any error message being recorded. I am trying to find a way that I can see what it is doing during this step. I have used the powershell interface to check for activity and there is no CPU activity being recorded, just system Idle, there is no memory or disk activity being recorded, it almost seems to be prompting for user input but it doesn't prompt for anything during manual install. If I set the option to allow the user to interact with the application to see any messages, but the TS rejects it claiming it requires user input. Can anyone think of anyway to see what it is doing. Thank you for your consideration Ken Rumble
Shiney69rr Posted August 28, 2015 Report post Posted August 28, 2015 Are you still in need of help on this? if so please post the contents of your .bat or cmd file if you are using one. It might be that you have not suppressed a EULA or an interaction that makes the program /package /task sequence hang. regards Rob
