Site Recovery Issue

I've shut down my old server and I'm trying to recover the site on new hardware with a site backup. It makes it all the way through until it gets to the SQL portion and it fails. SQL is installed on a separate machine and always has been. It connects fine but fails with the following error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I chose to do a manual recovery of the database and just pointed it at the server and that seemed to work.
