dawitz Posted July 23, 2015 Report post Posted July 23, 2015 I installed Right Click Tools on my local system and have the console installed. However, every machine except mine will report "OFF" as the status. Does this need to be installed on a central location? GarthMJ Posted July 23, 2015 Report post Posted July 23, 2015 Where are you seeing that? Which RCT did you install? Are firewalls enabled anywhere? Have you contacted the author of the RCT about this issue? What did they say?
dawitz Posted July 23, 2015 Report post Posted July 23, 2015 I am seeing the issue when I try to Run Machine Policy Retrieval and Evaluation Cycle. It is installed on my laptop. I am using Now Micro Right Click Tools. There are firewalls enabled but I am able to ping all the machines. I know that is not the same but I would think that would be a good indicator of being able to hit them.
GarthMJ Posted July 23, 2015 Report post Posted July 23, 2015 A ping is not good enough you need to be able to connect to them via WMI. if you can't do that then none of the RCT will work. Check your firewalls.
Garrett804 Posted July 29, 2015 Report post Posted July 29, 2015 The account you are using the console in must have admin rights on the machines in order to execute remote PS commands.
