0 Ibtechie Posted July 28, 2015 Report post Posted July 28, 2015 If it helps any at all, we had this issue with our X250 after upgrading to 2012R2 SP1. Our smsts logs showed in Red not Yellow PxeGetPxeData failed with 0x80004005: also could not do ipconfig/renew which lead us to our boot.wim drivers We tried several different drivers and even ones from Intel. Our working solution was to get the WinPE 5.0 drivers from Lenovo and update our boot wim with these. http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds102312 However, I did see a few posting on the Lenovo forums with the x240 having some issues such as these. Our enterprise image is win7x64. I did add the win8.1 x64 driver to our boot wim and we are happy campers once again. Good Luck! 0 pascal Posted July 29, 2015 Report post Posted July 29, 2015 I use SCCM 2012 SP1 that work with the Boot Image 4.0. I don't know if a Boot Image 4.0 support a WinPE 5.0. Otherwise, my Boot Image & OS are both on x86 types. I will search to know if that type of drivers exists for Windows PE x86 & Lenovo X240. 0 pascal Posted July 30, 2015 Report post Posted July 30, 2015 It seems to be a driver issue because when I try a ipconfig /renew, I get the following message : The operation failed as no adapter is in the state permissible for this operation. With the following preconization : WinPE 3 = Drivers Windows 7WinPE 4 = Drivers Windows 8WinPE 5 = Drivers Windows 8.1 I have test the following configuration without succeed : - SCCM 2012 SP1, - Boot Image x64 4.0 / WinPE 6.2.9200.16384 / Driver SCCM Lenovo X240 for Windows 8 x64, - TS W7 x86 / drivers SCCM Lenovo X240 for Windows 7 x86. Any more advice, please ?
0 Peter van der Woude Posted July 30, 2015 Report post Posted July 30, 2015 It really sounds like you're using the wrong driver, please double check that you're using the right driver for the NIC. Double check stuff like the model and version.
