Client Installation and Software Update Issues

Recommended Posts

So we have an environment with about 400 users and roughly a third of them are rarely in any of our offices to be on-network and hit a DP. We are currently deploying the SCCM client through bot the PXE OSD and a Group Policy. Currently, the best I can tell, the OSD portion isn't working and the Group Policy requires machines to be powered on and on network for 48-72 hours. I need some help troubleshooting both types of client push so that I can begin dealing with our other issues which are primarily Windows Updates. I feel like the best long-term solution is to get a DP in the cloud, but I need to get our current environment functional until that time comes. I have access to any and all log files any of you might want to look at. Coming from my last job as the guy who maintained our OSD Images, I naturally became the SCCM Admin here (Ha!) but I'm in a bit over my head in this environment as I had no hand in creating any of the infrastructure I'm dealing with now. Any help is appreciated, and if I'm being dumb, you can tell me I won't be offended :D Thanks!
