fsoares Posted October 14, 2015 Report post Posted October 14, 2015 I have the reports working and i would like to set permissions in a way that specific users just see specific reports via web browser. I have tried to do this but for some reason the permissions reset and the users can see all the reports. Is there a way to do this ? i am using sccm 2012 r2 sp1

0 fsoares Posted October 16, 2015 Report post Posted October 16, 2015 how did you do to hide a reports folder from the user ? where did you set the permission that made the folder not be seen by the user ?
0 GarthMJ Posted October 16, 2015 Report post Posted October 16, 2015 it is all done in the security role. There are no tricks to this, only grant them access to the SW metering reports + site (read) + Collection (read + red resourses), there maybe a few other minors thing that you need to grant them access too but... all
0 fsoares Posted October 16, 2015 Report post Posted October 16, 2015 Good... because right now they have the "Read Only Analyst" permissions by default. Maybe that is why they see everything. So.. if this is the case... lets say i want to grant in the future other permissions... to other reports.. i need to go figure it out in the security role and its like a trial and error thing, or the rbaviewer will help with this ?
