If I now have a new boundary group Create, I proceed as follows: Create Boundary Group -> Query Rule -> Criteria -> System Resource / security group name -> and then simple value I will show me everything. Have you tried using the query and typing in the AD group name rather than selecting it from the value box? by default the values populated are limited in SCCM.
