gvlaarho Posted October 26, 2015 Report post Posted October 26, 2015 Hello all, Many times, i have the software updates step in a task sequence that never ends. Always showing Installing 96 of 96 updates (for example) that is so the latest updates. It's like SCCM Client never know that everything is installed and then must pass to other step. TSInstallswupdates.exe must be killed then everything continue .... Staging Windows 7 with office 2013 SCCM 2012 R2 SP1 CU1 Thanks
ScottR Posted November 23, 2015 Report post Posted November 23, 2015 Did you ever get the fix to this problem, I am now having exactly this problem. It has only just recently started. So is maybe an update that has been introduced into the package that causes it to hang. Thanks
Jaybone Posted November 24, 2015 Report post Posted November 24, 2015 Been seeing the same thing on at least one of our un-updated Win7 images for the last few weeks. One of the September updates seems to be the culprit. A freshly built image has no problems, nor does an image updated via offline servicing. Jaybone Posted December 2, 2015 Report post Posted December 2, 2015 Been seeing the same thing on at least one of our un-updated Win7 images for the last few weeks. One of the September updates seems to be the culprit. A freshly built image has no problems, nor does an image updated via offline servicing. After performing offline servicing for the first time since August (so Sept, Oct, and Nov patches) on the images that this was happening with, it's no longer an issue.
