USB Task Sequence Media error OSD Error 0x80070570 applying Windows 10 Image - Incompatible USB key ??

Hi All

 

I've recently upgrade my SCCM environment to support Windows 10

 

I've successfully created a Windows 10 Task sequence which will deploy my captured Windows 10 Image via PXE boot - with no errors either with a vanilla Windows 10 wim image or a captured win 10 image

 

But when I create Task Sequence Media using a 32 GB Flash Voyager GT USB3 key and try to deploy from that the deployment fails when attempting to apply the WIM image (I've tried applying a vanilla wim image and a captured wim image)

 

i.e.

The WIM image does get opened and used, as a load of folders get created on the C drive before it fails while copying the file above i.e.

Volume in drive C is OSDisk
 Volume Serial Number is FE28-C68F

I have been using this same key for doing Windows 8.1 deployments with no issues.

 

I found an old USB2 8GB key in my cupboard and removed a bunch of stuff from my task sequence (after the OS deployment) and then tried using this and Windows 10 deployed ok !!! - but its too small for my complete task sequence and slow compared to a USB 3 key.

 

Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do to get the 32 GB Flash Voyager GT USB3 key working with Windows 10 deployments ??

 

The laptops i'm trying to deploy to are Lenovo X240 & T440 laptops - interestingly the task sequence fails with a retry on a different file on each laptop - but this file is consistent each time you retry the install

 

I've hunted around for a recommend list of USB keys to use as task sequence media but not found anything - Can any of you let me know what 16/32GB USB sticks you use for Task Sequence Media for Windows 10 Deployments ?
