Rolling back patch with Task Sequence

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon all.. I have an issue and am hoping you can assist me.

We have several rogue packages that need to be uninstalled. I wanted a long term solution in the event it happens down the road. I created a TS and in this TS it would run a command that calls the windows update client to uninstall the patch.

C:\Windows\System32\wusa.exe /uninstall /kb:3101246 /quiet /norestart
I deployed this TS to my collection and it is NOT showing up in software center. I have the deployment set on available. Can someone shed some light on what perhaps I am doing incorrectly?
Thank you in advance

Why not create a package (no source files required). Then use the same command youve used above. Bear in mind you may need to use sysnative instead of system32 on x64 machines. Cant remember for sure.

In terms of deployment not showing check timing (utc) of deployment. Ensure no maintenance windows are being applied specifically for task sequences.
