Deploying a software package or anything takes a very long time

Question

I have set up SCCM 07 and everything works fine, but everything takes ages to update, for example it took almost 2 days before it updated that one pc had the client installed. For it to even receive an advertisement it took almost 20mins. I have told it sync every hour incise that was the problem. Also is there anyway to make a program install faster, i have told it to send the .exe to the local computer and then install but it still takes ages.

You can speed it up by a manual process but not recommended on a large scale, on the screenshot attached you can go into control panel > Configuration Manager (When the client is installed for SCCM) and click Machine Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle and User Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle (Initiate Action). This will get the policies associated with the workstation configurations and sccm deployment configurations.

The above is to reconise advertisments faster but this is a manual process.
