Config_Mgr_noob Posted December 30, 2015 Report post Posted December 30, 2015 Hi All, I am trying to perform a site backup using ConfigMGR Service but failing. The SMS_Site_VSS_Writer, SMS_SITE_BACKUP, and Volume Shadow Copy service are unable to remain on. Every time I manually run each service, they turn on and 5 seconds later turns off. I looked into the smsbkup.log file and it is indicating that the "SMS Writer service either does not exist or is not running." Has anyone else experienced this issue or have any insight as to how to resolve it or can point me to the right direction? Config_Mgr_noob Posted December 30, 2015 Report post Posted December 30, 2015 Called Microsoft Support and was able to assist with this issue.
