vincelewin Posted March 1, 2016 Report post Posted March 1, 2016 You do have to use a WINPE6 boot image. You can use an older image but you have to mount it and put the latest dism version into the image and a step in the task sequence to load that version of DISM. With the WIN PE6(win10) I have had zero issues loading drivers for a surface 4 and elite x2. This is SP1 CU2. Do you know why my PXE boot is not working after adding the new PE6(win10) boot images. I have ticked the box "Deploy this boot image from the PXE-enabled distribution point" on the new image and unticked the same on the old images. I have restarted the WDS service and ensured the content is distributed but my client just times out waiting for the PXE boot. Am I missing something?! vincelewin Posted March 8, 2016 Report post Posted March 8, 2016 Anyone got an ideas on this?
Config Mangler Posted March 8, 2016 Report post Posted March 8, 2016 As an update on the driver issue, I have found that the Windows 10 drivers get installed if I use driver packages. This is not a solution for us as we need the auto apply drivers phase to work. This won't affect most users but we use Nomad caching software so this means that every driver package would have to be cached locally before they could be installed by the PC. For 20 models of hardware this could add 5-10Gb and an hour of processing to the build.
