SlevinKelevra Posted February 28, 2016 Report post Posted February 28, 2016 I successfully moved the Site DB from being hosted on the SCM 2012 R2 server SQL to a new 2014 SQL server. This went without issue. After getting the SCCM DB moved I wanted to move the WSUS DB. I followed the directions on this post: http://blogs.technet.com/b/mwiles/archive/2011/06/17/how-to-move-the-wsus-database.aspxand all went well with the move. The WSUS service starts and then after about 2-3 minutes, it stops. There's nothing apparent in the event log, just that the service terminated unexpectedly and will be restarted in 6000ms. Any ideas on what I need to check to figure out what's up with the WSUS. Some investigation into the Event Logs. I looked at the login's and security on the SQL server and all was associated and set as it should be (I'm assuming). On the SQL Server, I'm assuming when the WSUS service starts and then stops. Application Log: Login failed for user 'Domain\SCCM_Server$'. Reason: Failed to open the explicitly specified database 'SUSDB'. [CLIENT: 10.0.10.13] On the SCCM server, which I can no longer open the ConfigManager Console. Application log: Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM'. Reason: Failed to open the explicitly specified database 'CM_SKI'. [CLIENT: <local machine>] Could I uninstall the WSUS component and basically start from scratch? This is a small installation and that actually wouldn't be a problem to do. Thanks. -SK
