DPB Posted February 29, 2016 Report post Posted February 29, 2016 OK, so I have a new printer on the network and I installed it using postscript drivers. However, I have learned that there is a small team of app developers who need to use it with PCL drivers instead. Is there a way to do this? I found this article for Windows 2003, but of course this doesn't work anymore: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc780830%28v=ws.10%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396 Any ideas other than uninstalling it and reinstalling it with the PCL drivers? Their are features of the printer which are enhanced with PS drivers (in theory) so I'd rather not do this.
DPB Posted March 3, 2016 Report post Posted March 3, 2016 I figured out my mistake. Instead of trying to add the printer a second time using the device and printer's part of the print server, I needed to add it as a second printer in the print management. Doing it this way I can add it twice with different drivers.
