bman Posted April 8, 2016 Report post Posted April 8, 2016 Hello, I am trying to image an HP EliteDesk 705 G2 using MDT 2013 ver 6.3.8330.1000. I am using a task sequence that defines what drivers are downloaded based on make and model. Installing Windows 7. It works for every model we image with the exception of the 705 G2. It does not download the drivers as I can see it does with all the other models. Has anyone else had this problem with this model? smsts.log
0 samm Posted April 13, 2016 Report post Posted April 13, 2016 Hi, I just tried imaging one of these and had the same. Closer inspection reveals the WMI Vendor Name is the cause.... HP in their infinite wisdom have changed from 'Hewlett-Packard' to 'HP' (wmic csproduct get product) I am using a task sequence that defines what drivers are downloaded based on make and model. If you look at your deployment share, you've likely added the new model to a 'Hewlett-Packard' (up until now, every HP product I've ever imaged has used is in here) Cut/Paste your 'HP EliteDesk 705 G2 SFF' driver folder out of the above folder and in to one named 'HP'
