cowboy898 Posted May 9, 2016 Report post Posted May 9, 2016 Hello, I am having some issues with trying to setup a DKIM record in my 2012 r2 DNS server. The server is only taking part of the key and it seems to be a limitation on the length of the key. I have tried using quotes at the beginning and end of the text as well as breaking the key up into separate lines with quotes around them. None were successful. I should mention that we are using gmail for your email service. Any help would be greatly appreciated. john
Rocket Man Posted May 9, 2016 Report post Posted May 9, 2016 John Not sure that you add this record in your internal DNS zone but instead add it in your public DNS zone as DKIM records are public zone records?
cowboy898 Posted May 10, 2016 Report post Posted May 10, 2016 Rocket man, Thank for the comment. We host our external Public DNS authority on site so I am adding it to the public side.
cowboy898 Posted May 11, 2016 Report post Posted May 11, 2016 I figured it out. I had to add the o=~; r=postmaster@domain.com text record along with the DKIM text record and now it works.
