SCCM 2012 on an Azure VM IaaS??

Hi guys, i was wondering if anyone has set up configuration manager on a VM in Azure yet? if it's possible? if it's not, how did you get on? Does everything work smoothly etc

It is not supported to do this with CM12 however it is supported with CMCB.

Thanks Garth, Is Config Mgr Current Branch stable enough for business use ?

 

If i'm right in thinking, you wouldn't be able to PXE boot from the Azure IaaS VM to an on-premise piece of tin?

This might work with on prem PXE DP but I have not tried it.

My thoughts too. On prem DP might work. Im not sure if the management point being in the "cloud" will make a difference for pxe boots.

 

Same goes for bootable media. No reason why using bootable media and pointing the DP to azure sccm wouldnt work. Just an added step during imaging though.
