OSD fails to install applications/client

Recommended Posts

We recently updated our SCCM R2 from RTM to SP1 CU3 and since then, none of the task sequences (that were working just fine before) no longer complete. I had opened a ticket with Microsoft and it was determined that there was something wrong with the captured Windows 8.1 .wim file. After recapturing Windows, I can now get the OS and client to install as long as there are no applications enabled in the task sequence. If an application is enabled, the client will not be installed, there may be an application or two installed, and the OS is only partially installed.

I have attached the last attempt at installing with applications. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, I have been fighting this for 2 weeks now.

Hi,

There was some issues with that after that upgrade... what if you change the description of one of the apps so it actually updates the app, does it install then? Please attach the App* log files as well as the SMSTS not really contains the actual casue.

Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. Thank you for your response.

I have not had a chance to try and update the package in the manner you suggested. When I get the time to do so, I will. In the meantime, I have attached the only App*.log files that show on the computer once it gets into Windows.

Thanks in advance!
