Jasper Posted July 6, 2016 Report post Posted July 6, 2016 Looking for some assistance, I have never had the need to import Mass storage drivers for any of the HP laptops that we have been deploying in the past, this week I received in a HP Z240 Tower Workstation that I need to image but it is blue screening after applying drivers I know it has something to do with the Samsung PCI storage device, if i remove this drive and put in a standard sata drive I can image successfully, The problem I am having is that I can import the drivers successfully and create a package but in the task sequence I select Apply Driver Package and then check the box to Select the Mass Storage driver I do not get any entries in the drop down box to select a driver. Any suggestions? Thanks

anyweb Posted July 7, 2016 Report post Posted July 7, 2016 so load the driver package but don't select that option, it's only valid for pre vista operating systems such as Windows XP.
YPCC Posted July 10, 2016 Report post Posted July 10, 2016 Is the samsung drive a pci ssd by any chance? If yes, u need 2 x hotfixes applied to ur windows 7 reference image. Apply those. Also ensure you can detect the drive whilst in winpe (f8 > diskpart > list disk) I had to apply both hotfixes to my companies win7x64 image and also add the samsung nvme driver into my boot image before it would work. mflowers63 Posted September 27, 2016 Report post Posted September 27, 2016 Which hot fixes did you have to apply? I am running into the same issue with a Dell E5570 with the Samsung SSD, the image will deploy successfully and apply the drive pack for that model, but blue screens after the last reboot.
