Trouble getting PXEboot working

Recommended Posts

So the setup consists of 5 servers.

The SQL server (only running the DB on it and reporting point)

The Update point (Only running WSUS with the SCCM roles for Update and End Point protection)

The Management point (kept pure so the only roles it has are Site Server and Management point)

And 2 distribution points, one is a VM at the data center and the other is a physical box in an IDF.

The VM DP is not doing PXE (no point for it based on location)

The Physical DP does have PXE enabled but as part of implementing it I've been trying to get a VM in the same subnet as it to boot to the PE environment (there aren't any task sequences but it should still get into the PE enviro right?)

Attached is what I see on the VM I'm trying to PXE boot.

And the SMSPXE.log

I've tried several things, including completely removing the DP and re-adding.

Also the Regkey

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SMS\DP\ManagementPoints"

is blank, I tried entering the DNS name of the MP but only got more errors in the SMSPXE.log.

BTW it's SCCM 2012 R2 SP1 w/ CU3.
