bowlen Posted August 22, 2016 Report post Posted August 22, 2016 Hi Guys, I've created an application within SCCM to essentially run "setup.exe /s". I can run this manually and it works perfectly, so I know the "/s" flag works fine. When running it through Software Centre, I get the following errors (pic 1 taken from appenforce.log, pic 2 taken from software centre). Any ideas? I'm not sure what "Invalid Executable File Setup.exe" means. As I had mentioned, I can run that exe without any problems if I'm running it manually. Just fails through SCCM. Hobbs155 Posted August 22, 2016 Report post Posted August 22, 2016 Try "setup.exe" /s
GarthMJ Posted August 22, 2016 Report post Posted August 22, 2016 Have you run this setup manually as the local system account?
Hobbs155 Posted August 22, 2016 Report post Posted August 22, 2016 GarthMJ is most probably right, if the setup is trying to install something into the profile and it's not there for the local system account it may hang. Usuall running cmd.exe /c and then running the command will give you some indication
