Migrated report not showing in SCCM Console

Recommended Posts

I am performing a migration from SCCM 2012 SP1 to SCCM Current Branch and one of the items I have is to migrate a few reports. These I successfully migrated by going to http://localserver/Reports in the old site, located the desired report and using the dropdown selected Download and saved the RDL files to a location. I then went to the location in the new site and created a new folder for the new reports, selected to Import the new RDL file and imported them all. After this was finished I was able to see all of the reports successfully in the web list within their folder properly. I completed migrating the other 5 reports that I had and went into the console to view them from there.

They do not appear in the console under the name of the folder where I placed them. The folder is not present. If I look for them under Reports without going to the folders the reports are there. I have looked at the security of the other folders in the web list and compared the permissions and all settings with the new folder and everything is the same. I checked in the SRSRP.LOG and the name of the folder does not appear when the report server is checking the folders. I have restarted the reporting service to no avail.

How can I get the new folder to populate in the console? My feeling is that once I can see the new folder I will be able to view the reports as well.

Thanks in advance for the support and assistance!

Mark

Where exactly is the new folder that you created? if it is not within the ConfigMgr_<sitecode> folder, CM will never see the folder.

Also keep in mind that accessing the report will be faster from the web interface vs from the CM console. Additionally, made sure that you are using the CM MS data source for your reports.

Hey Garth,

I created the folder inside the CM folder so there isn't any reason I can think of why it should not be visible to CM Admins. The reports were taken from a previous installation of SCCM 2012 SP1 and migrated to the new Current Branch install. I'm assuming they used the data source of that site, do I need to edit the reports and specify the new data source?

Thanks,

Mark

As long as the folder permissions are correct, there is not reason why they will not show up.

Again remember that reports will run faster in web interface.

As for your data source it depends, if the report runs then the DS is correct, if it doesn't run then you need to change the DS.
