SCCM 2012 R2 SP1 Windows Defender Updates not needed

Recommended Posts

Little Over View

We are in the process of rolling out Windows 10 workstations.

I used your Part 6. Adding the Endpoint Protection role, configure Alerts and custom Antimalware Policies

to setup my SCCM for endpoint protection

SCCM has downloaded all the definitions (windows 7 stations are working).

I configured Antimalware Policy (Definition update should be downloaded from WSUS only) and deployed it to right collection just as the Part 6 shows.

The updates are not getting applied automatically as they should. If I go to Defender and do a update manually I see this error in the MpCmdRun.log.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MpCmdRun: Command Line: "C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\\MpCmdRun.exe" SignaturesUpdateService -ManagedUpdate
Start Time: ‎Wed ‎Nov ‎30 ‎2016 13:23:57
Start: Signatures Update Service
Update Started
Search Started (WSUS update) (Path: http://sccm.mydomain.com:8530)...
Search Completed
Update completed succesfully. no updates needed
End: Signatures Update Service
MpCmdRun: End Time: ‎Wed ‎Nov ‎30 ‎2016 13:23:57
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Any ideas why its saying no updated needed when I know they are?
