Since there is no install.wim file for Windows XP, the SCCM Capture Wizard will fail. The .wim was introduced in Windows Vista. Since XP is no longer supported, there's not going to be much documentation on the subject. Your only solution would be to deploy images using WDS.

well XP is not supported by Microsoft anymore so I can't imagine why you would be capturing it,

but does the smsts.log file reveal anything ? the error means.


The specified procedure could not be found.
