LouisD Posted February 10, 2017 Report post Posted February 10, 2017 (edited) Reporting Service stopped working, I tried to remove the role from the SQL server and Re-Add it but the reporting services server instance dropdown does not display the instance. I uninstalled reporting service from the sql server and reinstalled https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/configurationmgr/2014/07/23/a-step-by-step-example-of-configuring-a-reporting-services-point-for-https-in-system-center-2012-configuration-manager/ Also Tried this too https://t3chn1ck.wordpress.com/2012/10/10/reporting-services-site-role-setup-instance-blank-empty/ The reporting services seems to be installed correctly but still no reporting services instance appears in the SCCM console. Any ideas? Louis Edited February 10, 2017 by LouisD
GarthMJ Posted February 10, 2017 Report post Posted February 10, 2017 First off, can you access the SSRS websites?

GarthMJ Posted February 13, 2017 Report post Posted February 13, 2017 So Here are a few questions: What version of SSRS are you using? Have you applied all the SP and CU to the SSRS server? Have you checked the Firewall between the two servers? I assume that SSRS is remote from CM Are you trying to install the RP on the SSRS server? LouisD Posted February 15, 2017 Report post Posted February 15, 2017 Resolved - I created a new domain admin account and set the required permissions in SCCM and SQL and then the instance appeared in SCCM console. Very strange that the domain administrator acount does not see the the instance. I will look at the security more closely. GarthMJ Posted February 15, 2017 Report post Posted February 15, 2017 By default Domain Admin are NOT SQL admins and therefore this make perfect sense.
