UltimateIdiot Posted February 15, 2017 Report post Posted February 15, 2017 Hello, Having a problem with desktop computers unable to PXE boot. During Boot I receive the following: Downloaded WDSNBP from 10.60.1.32 Architecture: x64 Pending Request ID: 3 Message from administrator:Configuration Manager is looking for policy. Contacting Server: 10.60.1.32.TFTP Download: smsboot\x64\pxeboot.com Afterwhich, System Configuration launches then reboots the computer or throws up a blue screen with: Recovery Your PC/Device needs to be repaired The Boot Configuration Data for your PC is missing or contains errors. File:\SMSTemp\....boot.bcd Error code: 0xc000000f Really stumped at this point. Thanks in advance
anyweb Posted February 16, 2017 Report post Posted February 16, 2017 sounds like you are missing network drivers in the boot image for the hardware in question, can you press f8 and grab the smsts.log file available in x:\windows\temp\smstslog
UltimateIdiot Posted February 16, 2017 Report post Posted February 16, 2017 A couple things going on: 1 - it appears the involved computer has some sort of hardware issue (i.e. bad ram, etc.) 2 - did a query for the MAC and found that it existed in the client list with a far different name than it should have been. 3 - rebooted the network switch, also seems to have helped. I'm still getting this message on the PXE BIOS boot screen: Pending Request ID: 3 Message from administrator:Configuration Manager is looking for policy. But it continues to boot and I can image the machine. I tried several machines and they are all receiving that
NullSID Posted February 18, 2017 Report post Posted February 18, 2017 Search by GUID also. In rare cases of a computer was a member of a collection and the computer was deleted, I've seen that ALSO keep a PC from booting to PXE but not blue screen. Is this a remote DP by chance? Try redistributing the boot image. Otherwise I'd verify the driver is in the boot image as any web stated.
