0x80004005 In-place Upgrade win7 to 10

Hi All,

Can someone help me with this error it happens when i deploy a upgrade task sequence to a Windows 7 machine in order to update it Windows 10, i have tried on both physical and virtual and i get the same error.

That said i can deploy the windows 10 task sequence with no issue if i boot from PXE, this only happens on an in-place upgrade.

What versions are going from and to? Any log files?

Did you get an answer to this, I am having the same problem. Works fine on a virtual PC but it will not on a real PC. I created a new thread before I saw this one. I am doing Enterprise to Enterprise.

0x80004005 is a generic error that can be caused by quite a number of issues. When are you getting the error? Can you post some of the logs?
