kesh Posted July 17, 2017 Report post Posted July 17, 2017 Hi, I have a very strange problem. I have multiple collections for servers and workstations at different sites. I have the same Automatic Deployment Rule setup, and then I have a separate deployment for each collection. My updates are deploying to all but one of my sites. All my clients show inactive for this, the problem site as well. I attached screenshots of my issues. My ccmmessaging log on one of the problem clients has the errors as per below
GarthMJ Posted July 17, 2017 Report post Posted July 17, 2017 Error 0x2f78 = The server returned an invalid or unrecognized response 0x87d00231 = Transient error So it look like you have a networking issue.
kesh Posted July 17, 2017 Report post Posted July 17, 2017 Thanks Garth, anything specific though with regards to the network though? I will have to escalate to my network engineer to look into this for me
GarthMJ Posted July 17, 2017 Report post Posted July 17, 2017 Firewall or proxy issue would be my guess.

You will need to work with your network team to track down the issue.
kesh Posted July 19, 2017 Report post Posted July 19, 2017 Hi thank you. Our network engineer made a change to the firewall (he didn't want to say what he did). FEP seems to be updating on most of my clients now. I still have some clients that are showing Inactive though. I will give it some time to see if the status changes on them. I have another questions though. When i look at the monitoring, it shows me that it failed for those clients, but if i look at Forefront, they have been updated to the latest definition. GarthMJ Posted July 19, 2017 Report post Posted July 19, 2017 Give it a few days to see if the results clean up.
