Configuration Item shows compliant but it is not.

Hello other WIndows-noobians! 

I am having a configuration item issue.  I have many objects that show compliant but they are not. There is a lot of sites that show how to create Configuration Items but troubleshooting seems to evade my google foo. This initial screenshot is the message shows “compliance”.

Clearly not in compliance... ...very sad

the CI settings:

These settings are built into the task sequence but when things change (like switching the support site to https later this year) it would be nice to come here and edit the CI and have the systems update when necessary.  The system described here is a large portion of systems that were imaged before SCCM was in place. I'd rather do the changes through SCCM and not a GPO.  

Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

First off what is Asset Message? Is it telling you that this are compliant and they are not?

Thank you Garth for responding back so quickly! Yes the CM shows the object as compliant.

So where are you seeing within the console that it is compliant for that PC?

I might need more coffee, but I'm not seeing it in mine.

So are you sure that you don't have two computers with the same name? I know that seems like a dumb question but look in the All system collection to be sure.

Have you force the client to recheck it status? Does it update in the console?

I am sure there are not two computers with the same name.

I have forced the client to recheck and nothing changes. Also, this has been going on for a few weeks so the scheduled check would/should have picked it up as well.

Just to be clear, When you run the compliance check on the local computer, Report on the local computer show as being compliant or not?

ok, so there is nothing wrong with CM12 as it is reporting exactly what the cleitn detects. There is nothing wrong between CM12 and the end client as the results on the client are exactly what is on the client.  There is nothing wrong with the Client itself as the CI is executing and giving results.

So this mean there is a problem with the CI itself.

First off I would avoid using a "/" in anything as it is a special character in C. Instead try 247, does that work?

Secondly I would change the detection time to 1 days. I personally find that anything less that 4 hours seems to have problems.
