I'm getting ready to deploy a KMS server within our organization ... and it is possible that we may want to move the server not physically but reinstall the software

at another location. Is it possible to move the server with the windows key already assigned to that particular box???

Yes this is possible, it's dependent on the license you give it, just make sure it's not a MAK key but the Server 2008 KMS. I hope that answers your question..
