penguindows Posted October 31, 2017 Report post Posted October 31, 2017 Hi everyone! I'm an experienced Redhat (and linux in general) admin who finds himself in a combined windows and redhat shop. I'm seeking out the community input on where to start training or book wise for someone with no Windows experience, but extensive server fundamentals from linux. any thoughts? penguindows Posted October 31, 2017 Report post Posted October 31, 2017 Server administration. My short term goal is to get as comfortable living in the windows world as I am in the red hat world so i can be useful to both halves of my team. Mid term goal, I want to get my MCSA. Long term goal, i want to hit the lottery and open up my own brewery
anyweb Posted October 31, 2017 Report post Posted October 31, 2017 heh well good luck with that, if you want to manage servers then most people do that with SCCM, by installing the client agent on the servers to do tasks (application install, gathering data etc) and software update management, there's a whole bunch of guides here on windows-noob to get you started with that, here for example
