New here and want to say nice there is alot of great information in here.
Breakdown:
Have 1 image for multiple machines running different hardware. Have different Dell models for instance, GX520, GX745, GX755, GX960 etc. Most of them have similar hardware but when Booting to the PXE and loading the image, some will load the hardware driver just fine, and others will not. I have confirmed that the drivers are listed in the console and have even created driver packages for some of them which don't seem to load anyway. On GX520 the video drivers load correctly but when it does it's boot, it comes up with 8bit and 640x480 resolution. If I were to load the same .wim file to a GX745, it works just fine. I confirmed that the drivers loaded are in fact the ones for the machine. Can't find any consistency in the issues with drivers. After import I run update distribution points.
If any of you guys have any best practices it would be greatly appreciated. We run approx. 10000 managed machines and have multiple images for the different configruations we need. If I can get the driver part straight it would get us by for now. Thanks to anyone with assistance!
