Upgrade message is: “Your files, apps and settings can’t be kept because you’re installing an edition of Windows that’s different than the one you’re currently using.” Hard ware we are trying to upgrade:HP 800 EliteDesk G2 HP 800 EliteDesk G3 Software – Currently installed Using our standard Windows 7 sp1 (English – enterprise edition software) Software – Want to upgrade to: Windows 10 – 1803 English Professional edition A side from the obvious things: Uninstalled the Anti-Virus System is fully patched Update all Drivers and system Bios Removed questionable software (i.e. Java, and some Adobe apps) Verified the registry location is correct.
